Josh went with the kids to pick up some Chinese food for our Friday dinner treat on the way home tonight. They walked into Mr. Won Ton in Park Slope and on seeing a customer sitting waiting for her food, Trixie launched herself at her, screamed "Mommeeeee!" and hugged her leg.
Except it wasn't actually me.
Apparently the woman was very startled but amused. She has older children so I guess it's been a while since she was assaulted by a preschooler filled with joy. There are far worse ways to be accosted in NYC.

The big news I referred to earlier is that I got a new job recently. Very exciting! I start mid-May, and the only down-side I can see to it so far is that I will not be able to wear jeans and Tevas to the office as I did last summer. Oh well.
