This past weekend we finally completed the multi-part conversion process that resulted in a metric tonne of crap leaving Trixie's room and her brother's converted crib-to-toddler bed moving in.
It is a thing of beauty, which is nice because now the dining room table is snowed under with books to sort and papers to toss, as is the desk, and the table that we moved out and also the big wooden chest that we also need to find a home for. But by gods that room is sparkling! And our bedroom is so expansive without Bailey's crib in it that I feel positively luxurious, space-wise.
So if you're counting, that's two nights of the kids both sleeping in the same room -- the B Hive -- together. How's it going? Actually, Bailey's doing really well. He's in the same bed, face planted on the same mattress, and with a nice tall rail to keep him from rolling out. Trixie is doing well too, in that she has continued her campaign to sleep in our bed every night completely unabated.
The B hive, I love it! Complete with Buzzy Bee.
Where did the mountains - well, racks - of IT stuff end up?
Posted by: Sandra at February 28, 2007 03:54 AMThe rack is still there but moved over by the closet. We built shelves above the molding line and moved a bunch of books and generic crap up there. The rest is in a stack of "stuff-to-go" by the door. Or all over the dining room table.
