POOH'S CORNER, Friday (Gazette) -- Heeding his call to civic duty, Critter has met with Piglet's kidnappers somewhere in the jungle in deepest, darkest Astoria. After a harrowing blindfolded journey, Critter returned without the pig but maintains he did not return completely empty handed.
Through his spokesman, Chicky the Duck, Critter released a statement: "Piglet remains in good health and high spirits. Some progress has been made. We urge all sides, The Government of Pooh's Corner as well as the S.A.R.F.P. to continue to negotiate in good faith to avoid any unnecessary spilling of stuffing." A press conference has been called for tomorrow morning to relate the details of the negotiation.
Judging from this picture, the kidnapped porker is in good health. Though his captors remain masked, we at the Gazette hope that this and other photos may be used to eventually help track down the S.A.R.F.P. |
