Yesterday at lunch, the scene: Trixie and Mama have turkey and avocado sandwiches, Daddy has his leftover open-face steak sandwich. Trixie, like most toddlers, provides a running commentary on whatever is going on.
Trixie: Trixie have sandwich, Mama have sandwich. [Looks at Daddy's plate.] Daddy have poopy?
Mama and Daddy: ....
Trixie: Poopy?
Mama and Daddy are still trying not to explode with laughter.
Trixie: ??
Mama: No, honey, that's not poopy. That's, um, steak.
Ah, we have entered the golden age of one-liners. Today's gem:
On being served dinner, Trixie said, "Oh my god, that's hot!"
Later, she said, "Happy Monica, Mama, you look like dog!"
Hanukah --> Chinese New Year --> Year of the Dog? Who knows. But that's what Josh thought she said as well.
She also said, "I love you Bailey" this morning so it's not all swearing and insulting Mama's looks...
