So hot

Arrrgh. This weekend has been huddle-by-the-air-conditioner hot. We were going to go to the Mermaid Parade (In 98 degree weather! With a toddler! Ahahaha!) but alas R. got sick, so we stayed home instead and had a quiet day. Today we took R. home and did errands in the morning while it was still bearable, then it was back to the AC.

Tonight we're listening to the Mets-Yankees game and being glad -- again -- that we are not outside, even though the crowd sounds like it is having fun.

Update

Oh boy it's been a while. Bad bad blogger.

The mysterious news alluded to in a previous entry is that we came home from New Zealand with a really great souvenir that we won't really meet until October -- a new sibling for Trixie and Rachel.

The pregnancy has been all manner of healthy and the fetus is currently kicking the crap out of my belly. Too bad my dojo only starts kids classes at age 6, because this one is good to go. No, we didn't find out the sex -- we like surprises.

Trixie is doing great -- she loves to look at a book called "My new baby" and hopefully it will sink in...
